Partnership to buy two duplex piece.

Hi Folks,

I am looking at purchasing my first property. It is a two duplex unit located off the main street in a rural town. In order to finance it, I am partnering with a couple I trust and plan to move into one of the units to qualify for an FHA. Is this a situation where an LLC would make sense to protect both parties? Just getting into this so I appreciate any thoughts.
