Have to wait 6 months for another appraisal?
I am taking out an equity loan in my primary residence that I bought 3 months ago and put a ton of work into. I am using the equity on a down payment for a duplex. I was told that I have to wait 6 months to get an appraisal since I didn't may cash for the house. (FHA 3.75% down) This doesn't seem right to me. What about people that buy and flip a house in a few months? They don't seem to have to wait 6 months for an appraisal.
