Using Appfolio

Hi All, I am a real estate invester with  approximately 100+ units. I am currently using Buildium, but it takes becoming  very "clunky" and time-consuming to enter various details. I have been looking at Appfolo but the monthly cost would be double and you must sign a binding 1 year contract. The effort to switch all information into Appfolio would be substantial.

Has anyone  used Appfolio or maybe started with Buildium and then switched to Appfolio. Also, can you give me any feedback on Appfolio in general...

Thank you...

Dave

So here are my thoughts and each software has something to offer. If you are going to spend money choose wisely. Select a software where you can:

-- reconcile your bank accounts including operating  (one software for accounting and management)

-- budget, forecast and asset management

-- payroll

-- pay bills electronically to vendors, owners and tenant deposits (no printing and licking the envelope - savings of $8.00 + a check)

-- all your management needs

If you are using excel and other software you are already doing double entry.

We like Appfolio, Buildium, Propertyware, Yardi and love QuickBooks.
