Creating a Database of Apartment Complexes

Hello Investors!

I am looking to create a database of the apartment complexes in my target markets that fit my specific criteria and gain contact information about the owners. My goal is to then use this database that I have built to present to brokers. Does anyone have any recommendations of things that they have done to 1) Gather a list of apartment complexes in a specific market and 2) Gather the owner's information of these complexes.

Thanks for any suggestions and help that you may have!

Chad

@Chad Miles, got it.  I will tell you that brokers can access the same lists that you are from CoStar and other sites.

So your hustle to get the list, build the database could lead to frustration when you present to the broker.

If you have no experience and you can find deals using this database, a better way, in my opinion, is to bring the opportunities to guys like myself or @Brian Burke, @John Cohen, @Ben Leybovich, @Michael Blank and others on this platform who can close deals and get you in the game.

I shared on a BP podcast and my story at this link how I went from buying a duplex to trying to take down a 132 unit deal the next year.

You should know that this business of buying large apartment deals is very hard, but keep after it!!
