multiple structures on one property but not separate address

I'm looking to buy a property in downtown Las Vegas zoned R-3 Medium Density Residential.  It has 2 seperate 2BR/1BA homes, but they are just listed as structures A and B.  They are listed as the same address.  Is there a way for me to give them each an address and have it qualified as a duplex?  Or is this all semantics anyways?
