Frisco, Texas buy and hold

Hey everybody I'm 20 years old and am currently living in Chicago, I'll graduate college in a year and a half with no debt and plan on moving to Texas, specifically Frisco which is a suburb by Dallas to get into the real estate game. I'm only interested in buy and holds and after doing some research multi-units like duplex, triplex, and quadplex appealed to me most as I would like to become an owner occupant. Anybody in Texas have any advice on types of properties I maybe should consider or advice to what I have said? Thanks Guys
