What is the best method of finding apartment complexes for sale, aside from loopnet?  Any feedback or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Believe it or not, you can drive for $$ to find some bigger properties. Do your research and then send postcards or actually make the phone call!! If they are local, find out who the principal of the LLC or president of the corp. Yes it does take research and some guts. If it was that easy, everybody would do it.

Hopefully you will have a presence on LinkedIn or facebook or your own website that the owners can look you up and see that you are a serious buyer.

Networking is always the best way to find properties. Once you get in the group, you will be amazed how many properties are available.
