Anyone get LEED certified for their rental?

Since I'm building new, I decided to go for a LEED certification since I'm already half way there since I'm building with Solar and passive home features. The only problem is the Architect is hesitant and finds it too complex.

Anyone have experience with the interaction between the LEED agent and Architect?
