After 3 years of failure...I'm finally a GP on 342 doors

In 2010, I was looking to open a wine bar in Los Angeles. I made a costly mistake of partnering with the wrong person. This led me to losing thousands of dollars. Basically, my former partner chose to prioritize his new girlfriend over the business. I had to come out of pocket to pay the architect and the city people. My ego was bruised, but at least I didn't have any smuts on my name. Most importantly, I didn't let that experience scare from future partnerships and opportunities. All that experience taught me is to be more selective with the people around me. Fast forward to 2023, I have bought and sold a portfolio of single family homes out of state, I'm a general partner on 342 doors across 2 buildings, and I am in rooms with real movers and shakers. I will be writing an article outlining how exactly I did it shortly . Spoiler alert ...it's all about joining the right mentorship group.
