Trees good for hurricane?

Rishita Tiwari

Hello Community,

I am doing due diligence on a deal in Florida and one of my colleagues on the R.E partners discord (https://discord.gg/pKh34Yu3PM) mentioned that large trees/forest is actually a deterrent for high winds from impacting buildings in hurricane rich areas. Does anyone have knowledge or experience with this? If so, is there some truth to it? The complex I am looking at is basically surrounded by forest. Thanks.
