RealPage acquisition of Knock CRM - Yardi/AppFolio Implications

Scott Spanier
Posted

With the acquisition of Knock last week, RealPage has internalized their CRM services for their PMS but how will this affect Knock users that have AppFolio, Yardi and other PMS softwares as their main system?

Will companies using knock have to switch over to RealPage to maintain access or are these companies allowed to keep using Knock as a premium price and getting incentivized to switch to RealPage via discounts?

Any insights or ideas as to how this will affect the industry would be greatly appreciated!
