Multi-Family Heating Conversion (oil, natural gas, etc)
Hello All!
I have a 3,500 sq ft, 3-unit house located near Albany, NY. Currently, it is heated by an oil fired boiler, which as the landlord I pay for. This past winter I spent about $6,000 on heating oil over about 4 months.
The house has separate electric meters and I want to get the heating bill out of my responsibility and on the individual tenants. They offer Natural Gas at the house, are they able to separate this by unit? Would mini-splits be a better option?
Overall, looking for some feedback on the best cost effective and best options people have found to get that cost off of my plate.
Thank you!
