Hi everyone. My husband and I are struggling to find our second househack. We will use a VA loan and are looking to occupy a 2-4 unit located on the north/northwest part of Chicago. If anyone is aware of any properties please let us know.

@Lee Burns Thanks for the response! We've primarily used the MLS to search for properties. We have targeted 2-4 units that need minimum repair (as long as the property can be approved by VA appraiser). We have no issues making upgrades to units, but so many properties need more than cosmetic work. We do have monetary reserves and we've narrowed our scope to locations around Albany Park, Rosco Village, Irving Park etc. Not too far from O'hare or downtown Chicago. Happy to connect!
