Tax lien auctions/foreclosures in Georgia
Good afternoon,
I stumbled across tax lien auctions here in my small county in GA. I spoke with the Tax Commisioners office and they said so long as i am the winning bid, then the owner of the property has a year to pay me back what i bought it for +20% and if they do not i can foreclose on the property 12 months + 1 day after winning the auction.
During the year they have to pay, do i need to take any actions to notify or will the tax commisioner handle all of that?
After a year of them not paying, what is the foreclosure process like? fast? expensive? etc
Is there anything else regarding this that I should be aware of?
