Short Sale Offer

Hey everyone I'm new to this and I'm looking for some guidance on what to do or if I can do anything about a short sale offer a I put in about eight months ago. The offer was accepted by the owners and then passed on to Citi Bank. Since then, I haven't heard much other than the bank was requesting more information from the owners.

Since I first made the offer, the market had risen a bit and I might be able to raise my offer on the house. They have had some recent sales that justify a greater sale price then what I offered and the owners accepted. I'm not sure if I should do anything or just wait for a response from the bank. I'm also concerned that I will never hear anything from the bank except that it was not accepted. Thanks
