Wholesaling Pre-foreclosures

Hello BiggerPockets Community

I am from Milwaukee, WI and a lot I read about wholesaling comes from either the East or West coast and I am not 100% sure the same rules apply here in the midwest as I am always told.

I'm am looking to wholesale properties that are in the pre-foreclosure and that are just about a month away from being sold at the Sheriff's auction. I figured that the process is still the same since technically the residents of the home are still the owners.

Is anyone willing to connect with me and give me some insight on this process and the best techniques to streamline it and/or refer a legal counselor or experienced wholesaler who understands the midwest/Wisconsin regulations on this type of business.

Thanks for all the wealth of info and responses ahead of time.
