Question on bank owned foreclosure

There is a house we have been following. When it was listed as a short sale we entered in a bid for the house. We hadn't heard anything. It turns out the house recently went into full foreclosure. What happens to our bid will they look at that bid at all when the bank puts the house back on the market. Any chance of talking to the lenders and getting house before they list it? If it helps the lender is US Bank
