Lender of 1st will not give me any info since I am not the borrower of the first. Any suggestions?

unfortunately that is a common problem. I would politely ask to speak with management. I would fax a payoff demand and include in the demand, a reference to the statute that says you are entitled to the information. I would reference section 17000 of the Financial Code and section 2943 of the California Civil Code. I would also include a copy of the trustee's deed you received at sale so they can see you are who you say you are. Still, you are usually dealing with someone that is smoking weed in the parking lot on their break so, they may not have the same sense of urgency that you have.

If you have access to counsel, have your counsel contact their counsel. That's usually the pat of lest resistance.
