New Investor In Atlanta

Hi guys,

I'm from Australia and I've just dipped my toes into the Atlanta REO market buying 3 properties in the last 2 months. I understand the market is moving the day of getting awesome deals is well and truly gone.

First of all thanks to everyone on this forum for posting really valuable information I only wish I found this forum 2 months ago! Especially to @J. Scott for posting awesome stuff.

I'm a moderately experienced investor in stocks and real estate however I'm completely new to the USA and am aware that things are done very different.

Being located overseas I obviously can't be too hands on so I've done a lot of time doing due diligence and basically engaged a buyers agent / wholesale and bought through them who will manage the renovation etc. Obviously this is more costly than what anyone has to do in this forum but I obviously am more restricted based on my location.

I'm fairly confident that I've bought with a reputable person but my worst nightmare is that I've bought in an undesirable area and can't rent it out or worse of all they trash the place. I've bought in Newnan and Palmetto (townhouses and full brick houses) what does everyone think of that area?

Thanks in advance for any comments.
