Tax sale question

My husband and I are new to real estate investing although my husband has been a contractor/carpenter for the past 20 years. We [b]have a tax sale coming up next week that we will be attending. What are some things to watch out for if we decide or have the opportunity to bid on a house we are looking for? We were told to do a soft title search but is there anything else we should look out for?? Thank you!!!!
