Tax Deed Auctions in Virginia
Hi Everyone,
I am a relatively new real-estate investor and I am planning to go to my first tax deed auction in Virginia. I have read several posts on the forums regarding these auctions in other states... but I wanted to ask if someone could guide me specifically on tax deed auctions in Virginia. I am looking at two different condos at this sale... and my question is this:
What would happen to past due HOA fees if I were to win these properties at auction? I have read that the HOA liens (if any) would get wiped out as a result of the foreclosure auction... but then I read somewhere else that the HOA can still come after the new owner for past due fees...Is that true?
Also what website would you guys recommend to do a foreclosure title search... so far I have only read about ProTitleUSA.com I was wondering if there were any other websites that you guys would recommend.
Finally, in the auction details, it says "Parcels will be conveyed by Deed with Special Warranty of Title". So my understanding is that I shouldn't have to do anything special to get a clean title afterwards (in order to sell these properties)... Am I correct in thinking that?
Any help and input is very much appreciated! :)
