New York City’s “professional Squatter” problem

It seems that about 95% of the Short Sales that I pick up are occupied properties. It is usually not occupied by the owners or their family. I’m from Queens and in the recent years I have come to find out that this is a really common thing. I usually do an eviction or come up with other methods to assist the squatters to move on. Any one else dealing with this issue in NYC?
