Owner Interactions with Pre-Foreclosures
Hello all,
I have a question in regards on how to go about introducing myself to a person or family who's home will be going up for foreclosure without coming off as rude. It is most likely a hard time in their life and would like to find a way that would benefit both of us. If they ask why I think that their house would be up for selling, would you say that you would like to help them during a tough time or say you found out on public records? If anyone has any experience in this, feedback would be greatly appreciated.

@Andrew be very casual and don't wear suits and ties. Act like you're the guy from next door. Start with something like "I am sorry to bother you but I and my partner were walking around and looking for properties in the neighborhood we are interested in investing in and we are just going door to doors and seeing if people are interested in selling their house. If you're interested in selling, we would like to make a cash offer and close quick". Don't let them know you found them in the public records and they are in the foreclosure cause that's going to piss them off. Let them tell you that they are in the foreclosure.
