Foreclosed and auctioned home mortgagee does quitclaim deed

Joe Nona
Posted

I have won the auction on a foreclosed property, but the previous mortgagee’s attorney in fact has  signed a quitclaim deed, transferring ownership to another entity after the upset bid period ended.  It’s screwing up the title process and closing.

Does the quitclaim deed have standing?  What could their thinking be? We doming know if the original owners have agreed, as the document was signed only by the AIF.

TIA, for any input!
