Why my REO purchase cannot be completed by WF

I am from Georgia.

In Aug. 2011, I signed a purchase agreement of a REO property with Wells Fargo. However, the WF just cannot complete the deed signing and property recording process. I was told that the deed was received and no more documents are needed in this case. I don't understand why WF cannot complete rest of the work. And the closing attorney escalated the case but he cannot get any information from WF. Both closing attorney and the listing agent have no idea about what happened to WF.

I know many of you are experienced professionals, please give me some ideas. And should I keep waiting or just give it up??

Thanks.
