Foreclosures to find a farm

Hello all,

My family has been looking to move further out of the city but the prices here in middle TN have become so expensive it has become a preventive issue for us.  We are looking for acreage and a specific, remote location.  Would I be able to find farmlands and acreage (preferable over 100 acres) in the same way that I would find an investment property to flip.  Are there any other methods or techniques I should use to go about this type of property for a non-investment, personal residence?

Any information or insight would be much appreciated.
