Ejecting the previous owner after foreclosure

Greg Soon
Posted

I won my first foreclosure 2 weeks ago and will close in 3 weeks. I have visited the property twice and knocked the door to try to make contact with the previous owner. However both times nobody responded and I see no car on drive way. The lights were on both outside and inside the house, with furnitures visible from outside.

At second time I left a letter asking the people live there to contact me. But one week past and there had been no response.

I like to do a cash for key deal but so far I could not even reach the people living there.

At this stage I plan to service a three day notice and then file a court case, possibly hiring a lawyer to do so.

Any suggestions on what else I should do?

My nightmare would be a destroyed property. When I went knocking the door the property is still in good shape. Any means to prevent the damage to the property?

BTW, the property is in Maryland.
