foreclosure and bankruptcy question

hello BP. I got a list of foreclosures from the court and I'm going through it. I came across one that's being foreclosed on but the owner filed chapter 7 bankruptcy. Now the lender is coming after property because the owner had a home equity line of credit on it. I was wondering if this is too late to pursue because of the bankruptcy??

It is not. Bankruptcy doesn't change who holds title. If the owner wants to avoid the foreclosure they will still need to pursue some type of workout. However, some homeowners are not motivated to do a workout after a bankruptcy as the lender has no recourse if the mortgage was discharged.
