Looking at the "Deep End"

Good day to all! Cheryl & I are newbies in the Florida REO market and love what we see on this site. Folks seem genuine and helpful. We are investors from up North, (of the 49th parallel), but not new to RE investing....just in the US.

We are serious about establishing here and bought a new home in Riverview FL last spring. We are experienced hard money lenders and want to expand to the REO market in SouthWest FL. We have a small team pulled together, bank accounts established and looking to register LLC before we start. Of course we need to fit in most of all.

Our strategy is buy/fix/rent, and to acquire 10 properties over the next 5-8 years. Financing will come from cash and private investors lined up.

Question: Looking for the best execution strategy given our complete, (almost), lack of experience here - Do you start with a purchase from a wholesaler or tap into a local REO realtor? Turn-key is appealling since we are only here 6-weeks of the year, (Buy-manage-rent). So, the team is very important for starting out.

Advice please.... :D
