Child support lien in New Jersey

Shawn Fallon
Posted

Does a child support lien attach to a property that was filed against a person before they purchased a property in New Jersey? The support lien was filed on 8/2/2006 and the person purchased the property on 6/3/2008 and taken out a mortgage on 11/3/2011. I have confirmed that the support lien is against that person. I thought the lien did not attach to the property since it before acquired.
