Realtor must list and open to public for bids?
So we are waiting on a duplex to come up for sale possible through hud. The sign is in yard but it hasn’t been released they realtor must open it up to public correct?
They cannot just sell it to their investor friends and not list it?

The agent has NO say whatsoever when a HUD property comes on the market. The property will be listed at Hud homestore.com when it is available
When the property comes on the market, it will first be offered owner occupants and government agencies. If no acceptable bids are received, it will enter the extended period and be available to investors. In most areas of the country, a properly priced duplex will never make it to the extended period
Set up a search at Hud homestore and you will be notified once the property hits the market
