Choosing a HUD broker to submit a bid.

Am I required to use the broker who showed me the HUD home if I did not sign any agreement? I'm new to this and thought I was meeting with the listing agent. However, they sent their assistant who is a realtor who wants to submit the bid on my behalf. Is this sort of arrangement typical? Is it within my best interest? Thank you.

Is there a reason you wouldn’t want to use the person who showed it to you? Many times the listing agent is head of a team of agents, someone of which focus on the buyer side.

It certainly isn’t out of the ordinary and unless they gave you reason specifically to not use them then I would move forward. Usually if someone is showing it to you then they are expecting to submit the offer as well.
