key safe on occupied house up for foreclosure

I've seen a house that's scheduled for foreclosure at a trustee's auction in Texas next month and has a Master brand key safe on the door, but is still being lived in. Do you know what the purpose of the key safe is?

It may be property preservation from the mortgage servicers end. Otherwise it's likely an agents or the homeowners.
