Advice on foreclosure auction home with existing sheriff levy
I'm looking to obtain title to a home via a courthouse auction. The plaintiff is a roofing company with an unpaid lien (recorded in 2014) and thus foreclosed on the property ($15k judgement). There is no mortgage on the property (owner paid cash for home). The property is subject to an existing Sheriff's Levy recorded in 2011. The levy resulted from unpaid country club membership dues (about $100k). There has never been a sheriff's sale, and one is not scheduled. Home is valued at $400k
1) I assume if I win the auction the Levy remains attached, correct?
2) Does the Levy mean the country club is entitled to take possession of the home and force a sheriff's sale?
3) As the new property owner, do I have the right to redeem the Levy somehow, to avoid a Sheriff's sale?
