When to change locks

We purchased an occupied foreclosure at auction. We gave the previous owner a notice to vacate within 20 days. She hadn't moved at the end of the 20 days but we did see her moving a few days later. After the moving trailer left, we had an opportunity to see into the home. There is a lot of trash left as well as furniture and other items. We posted a notice that we intend to enter the property in 48 hours and left a contact number. If she doesn't call or show up, can we change the locks after the 48 hours?
