Foreclosure Auction Blues
Hello. I am new to BiggerPockets, but have listened to a few podcasts and have been reading the forum in the background for quite some time.
I have come across two situations which I don't understand and I'm hoping that somebody can enlighten me. Both situations have taken place in the same foreclosure auction, but on different dates.
The first is a property that sold at a tax auction for $20k, but has been relisted on a sheriff's auction for $105k! How can this occur?
The second is another agh listed on a sheriff's auction, but has sold a month before the auction is to start! What is going on?
I know I am new, but this has got me stumped! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
