House bought at IRS Auction

Jeanette Kent
Posted

I am waiting on the paper work for the house I bought at an IRS auction in Florida. After I get it do I just file with the Clerk of Court or do I need an attorney to handle this. I contacted a Title company but they do not handle these sales.

@Melissa Gallegos The redemption period is 180 days, you can’t sell it until you receive the quit claim deed. The property was vacant so I used it as a nightly rental - and kept it for a year and a half, I was a able to use North American Title Company to issue title when I sold it. Had to call about 5 title companies to issue a policy — In the end was able to sell just fine.
