can you contact foreclosure lender?

This house started by me finding it driving for dollars.  Found out the owner died and I used all my resources to contact the estate with no success.

The home was scheduled to auction tomorrow but the listing from the county is now showing canceled.  Wells Fargo is listed as the lender.  I'm curious why it may have cancelled and if there is any way to go forward on my own.  I'm actually more excited now as I had no way to provide full payment within 2 hrs of auction close.

Thanks in advance
