I have an owner that is losing her house due to taxes not being [paid

auction is set for 1st Tuesday in june

can I pay the taxes and get a title for the house before it goes to auction

The law for this is very different in each state.  Is this a Texas property? 

If you can get a title company that can process it in time, that is generally the best way to proceed since they should find any other liens or ownership issues.  And yes, the safest way is to pay the taxes at closing.
