Facing USDA foreclosure
Long story short, my first home was a huge mistake, I was laid off just prior to my first payment being due, and I would like to get out of the house. It's a USDA loan, it's been transferred from BOA to Carrington Mortgage, and it's in the foreclosure process.
I've worked with 2 attorneys who failed to handle this. I was advised not to make payments, and I haven't lived in the house for over 2 years. I've found an attorney who says he can handle this, his fee is $3000. My fear is that hiring him will not result in success, I will have paid him, and the foreclosure will only be avoided for a little longer.
Any advice would be help.

What do you hope to happen that will cause you to be successful? What is it that they failed to handle? You don't need an attorney to "handle" a foreclosure in Florida but if there is something wrong with the foreclosure, yeah, maybe you need an attorney. If you defaulted on your payments and they foreclose, they foreclose. If they foreclose and take a loss, they are entitled to come after you for a deficiency
