PRE-NOD DEFAULTS AND NOD

I've researched a few different ways to find pre-nod and nod(notice of defaults), but i'm not having a great deal of success finding a property thats more than a week from the forclosure/auction day.  Seeking any information anyone my have as to finding these pre nod's.  Your opinion and insight would be greatly appreciated.
