Hypothetical bulk REO question

Hi there,

I'm doing a research paper regarding bulk REO's. I have two hypothetical question for bulk REO gurus here in this forum. Suppose I had $2M cash available to buy a bulk REO tape back in 2008,

1.  how many houses were this tape consisted of if they are all located in Northern California versus Southern California?

2.  How much of a profit I would make had I kept all houses until 2013 to unload after rehabbing them within 3 months and put a tenant in until 2013 when I unload all of them?  After all selling expenses of course and holding costs.

Thanks.
