Sheriffs Sales help PA

Hello BP,

There is a property that I'm interested in that I found in a Sheriffs sale list for significantly less than what its valued at. When I went to check out the property I found that it was listed for $120K as a short sale. Should I make a short sale offer higher than the Sheriffs sale price to avoid having to bid it out with other investors and the bank or should I just wait for the  Sheriffs sale? The sheriffs sell is in 2 weeks.
