North Carolina Foreclosures

Can someone point me in the right direction for bidding on a foreclosure in North Carolina? I have been made aware of a property that now interests me but I've never gone to the courthouse to input a bid. It is currently in the 10-day upset bid window.

Where or what office does one typically go? Does the bid require 5% down? Is there a lot of paperwork to fill out to bid? I want to be able to do this on my way in to work. Will it take long?

Thanks in advance for any information.
