Is HOA Backpay and Personal Judgment $ Negotiable?
Been looking into a nearby property which, by the price, looked enticing. Other similar units in the same area were 50-60K more. I have recently learned that this particular condo unit has $29,000 owed to the HOA and a $12,000 personal judgment from the Bank who it is now owned by.
My question is, can these costs be negotiated? I assume that the lower *listed* price of the unit is there to off-set these other fees that the buyer would ideally have to pay.. but is this something I could/should bring to the table for negotiation?
