Actor Burt Reynolds Broke - Auctioning Personal Item to Raise Cash!

Burt Reynolds was a '70's film and TV icon who often dominated box office and tabloid news.

While never a fan, I thought this relevant to real estate investors and those who are on the fence about the wisdom of smart investing to live easier later.

The local morning news had a little piece that was almost too sad to share but a cautionary tale, no less.  In the footage that I saw showed a very old looking Mr. Reynolds, hunched over and walking with cane.

The story was about an upcoming auction to be held later this month in Las Vegas, where awards and other personal memorabilia will be sold to generate cash. What's particularly tragic to me is that this apparently happening while he is still alive, not as part if an estate sale.

I vacillated about sharing this however when you're having a challenging day it's good to remember why investing wisely now can avoid what I consider a sad end-of-life story.

While looking for info on the auction I also came across this piece in an abandoned property once owned by Mr. Reynolds:
