Bidding on the courthouse steps ? Jacksonville

I am an investor in the Jacksonville Florida area.  Lately I have become intrigued by "The Courthouse Steps."  I have read a lot about the process and have become discouraged.  I have learned that there are professional bidders working for investors.  Being new to this I am asking advice or opinions on how to start getting involved in auctions.
