Advice on navigating through the REO process

I am currently looking at bank REO. Can anyone recommend some good articles on how to navigate that process, weed out what to look for and what to stay away from, and how to make bids to the bank? I have found some articles but I am still a bit confused and I was wondering if so seasoned REI's could point me in the direction of articles they found helpful. Thanks for any help I really appreciate it!
