Mercercounty NJ foreclosure questions

I'm new to auctions, but I wanted to get started. I'm interested in a house that will be auctioned off soon at courthouse. I got a few questions

Is it necessary to pay off any liens on the title in addition to the bid amount? Do all liens disappear after winning the bid? What are some excellent places to look for titles? Do you think it's a good idea to hire an attorney and/or an agent? What value do they add?

Any assistance is highly appreciated.
