Florida Specific Foreclosures

Kristen Wagner
Posted

I am new to bidding on foreclosures.  My husband and I are looking to purchase something for my mother in law but the property is coming up for auction too quickly (in less than 2 days) to have any of the title companies we've spoken with run a full title search.  I have contacted the Clerk of the Court in the county and they are working to provide any information/liens filed against the property.  My question is- SPECIFIC to FLORIDA real estate, is there somewhere else I can search to find encumbrances on this property? Could there be major title issues lurking but not reported to the Clerk/filed on the property?  Any guidance would be helpful!  We have the final judgment that is forcing the foreclosure but want to be sure the mortgage forcing the sale is not 2nd or 3rd in line.  Thank you!
